Don Bosco Buterere Youth Center and School is a Salesian run center that caters to disadvantaged youths, orphans and street children. The center is located in Bujumbura the capital city of Burundi. Burundi is the world's second poorest country. The country has suffered from years of ethnic tensions, violence and genocide.
The center offers schooling and vocational training, recreational and cultural activities, psychosocial support, as well as, an ecumenical emphasis on spirituality. The center seeks to prepare it's youth to become educated, productive and responsible citizens who will work to rebuild their country.
