High Impact Projects is a non-profit organization created to help the impoverished of the world by implementing sustainable projects such as agricuture, microfinance, water supply, waste management, infrastructure, education, and health care. All projects are selected on the basis of need and the organization's ability to execute the project quickly and efficiently.
Focus is intentionally towards delivering the project such that the local community can sustain the project and its benefits long-term. This is accomplished by education and community organization, designing sustainability into the project and leveraging local labor and materials during implementation.
Water for Rusumo's Orphans - Joseph Lawrence sits with the Orphans that get water just outside their door instead of walking nearly a mile round trip with 40 pound water jugs atop their heads.
Currently our organization's focus is Eastern Africa throughout the Great Lakes Region including Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and interaction with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Team H.I.P. members have impacted existing projects and scoped new project potential in each of these countries. Although each represent the smallest nations in Africa, they posses the greatest need.
